Are the Apologia high school courses considered AP?

AP is a registered trademark of the College Board. In order to be called AP, a course must be certified through the College Board. The Apologia textbooks have NOT been certified as AP, although they are considered college-prep level courses.

Many of our students have written to let us know that they have used our textbooks to successfully pass AP and CLEP exams.  We also recommend that students preparing to take these tests purchase (from AP/CLEP providers) study guides and practice tests. This will allow the student and parent to see what is covered on the tests and to supplement if necessary while studying for the test.
