In general, the contents of the Chemistry, 3rd Edition, textbook are the same as the 2nd Edition, but the most notable changes are the following:

  • The modules were switched around to allow for an "Atoms First" teaching approach.
  • There are updated illustrations.
  • Any out-of-date science information was removed.
  • There are added “call-out” boxes so that students can recognize God’s fingerprint throughout creation.
  • Information in Module 2, which was difficult for many students, was moved to Module 12.
  • Information on density was moved to Module 6 (previously in Module 1).
  • Information on temperature was moved to Module 1 (previously in Module 2)
  • Information on matter was moved to Module 2 (previously in Module 4).
  • The scientific method was included for chemistry experiment preparation
